What Crisp knows about you
Almost nothing. There is no account, no user database, no analytics, no ads and no cookies.

What stays on your device
Your wallet’s key, the records of what you sent (so you can take it back), your bills for face to face gifts, and your settings. They are kept in this browser’s storage and never sent to us.
What never leaves your browser
The part of a Crisp link after the # holds the key to the money. Browsers never send that part to a server, and the app removes it from the address bar as soon as it opens. Photos you hide or open are read in your browser. Camera frames used to read a code or a card stay on the device.
What is public
- Solana is a public ledger. Every payment, address and amount can be seen by anyone, for good.
- The question of a locked gift is published in plain text. Don’t put private details in it.
- A note is encrypted, but anyone who has the photo or the link can read it.
- Face to face codes show the bill addresses and the wallet that loaded them.
Who your browser talks to
- This website’s host, to load the pages. Like any host, it keeps standard request logs (IP address, page, time).
- A Solana RPC provider, to read balances and send payments. It sees your IP address and the addresses you look up.
- drand (api.drand.sh, drand.cloudflare.com), only for gifts locked to a date.
- A wallet app, only if you connect one. Its own privacy terms apply.
Notifications
Crisp asks to show notifications only when you turn them on. The open app makes them in your browser; nothing is sent from a server.
